CANDI BIMA
According to historians, Bima Temple is thought to be the youngest of the other temples in Dieng, seen from the Shikara-shaped architectural style shaped like a cupped bowl, and a combination of Hindu-Buddhist features that appear at the top of the temple shaped like Stupa and Tudor Kudu statue on the roof of the temple that resembles the Sacred Building in India.Bima temple is one of the ancient relics in the Dieng Plateau area.Berada in Dieng Kulon Village, Batur District, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java, [1] this temple is located south of Dieng Dieng complex. The entrance is on the east side. This temple is quite unique compared to other temples, both in Dieng and in Indonesia in general, because of its architectural similarity to some temples in India. The roof is similar to the shikara and is shaped like a cupped cup. [2] On the roof there are niches with head reliefs called kudu, this temple is in bad condition, partly because some times the theft of unique kudu statue on the roof [3] and damaged by solfatara from Sikidang Crater.
In 2012, Bima Temple was restored by the Central Java Archaeological Heritage Preservation Hall. The restoration is done because the structure of the rock temple has many rotten and shifted due to age and affected by vibration, [4] also because there is a cavity that can cause amblesnya building.
